Iron deficiency anemia is commonly caused by issues such as acute blood loss following surgery, heavy menstrual bleeding, hematuria, traumatic hemorrhage, pregnancy and delivery. This infusion requires in-house labs such as a CBC and iron panel. Infusions can be performed over five sessions of 15 minutes each session or two sessions over 4 hours each session.
